The essential oil of whole ylang ylang, also known as ‘totum’, offers the very highest quality. This oil does not contain separate fractions of the distillation but the totality of all the fractions. Ylang ylang totum has a deep and thorough effect, and combines well with numerous other oils. It is mainly used in aromatherapy to improve various skin problems. The fragrance soothes and restores mental balance, and is therefore frequently used in relaxation formulas. Not everyone likes the intense fragrance, which sometimes needs to be limited in quantity. The essential oil of ylang ylang is also known as an aphrodisiac.
