Fresh rhizome

The essential oil of ginger is highly versatile. Its best-known applications are for travel sickness, nausea, digestive problems and pain relief. It is also a good stimulant, as well as having a very mild and pleasing fragrance and flavour, especially if the oil is made from fresh ginger. Ginger oil works well in pain-reducing formulas for muscles and joints. As a perfume, it is highly valued in lotions and bath oils for men (aphrodisiac). Ginger combines well with cedar, citrus oils and clove.
